The Recurring Billing feature was initially introduced in EBS Order Management R12.2.6 with two flavors of Recurring Billing i.e. Fixed Period Billing and Indefinite Period Billing. In R12.2.7 additional flavor Milestone Based Billing was introduced, which is typically used by high tech manufacturing customers having long lead times for custom-designed equipment, who typically bill in milestones e.g. Booking, Fulfillment, Customer Acceptance, etc. In the latest EBS release, this was further extended by introducing an additional flavor of Usage Based Billing. Bank statements received from Banks by the customer for receipts transactions are missing with a common identifier with summary line information lead to mismatching with receipts transactions, the customer process was manual reconciliation. We implemented a custom program to populate unique identifiers in Bank file and leveraged the auto reconciliation program to match the Lockbox, Wire receipts, GL Journals by using a unique identifier, the solution supported the different Bank statement formats BAI2, SWIFT940.
